When KakoBuy's 100 days are not enough: using Basetao's longer storage window for a slow haul

The case for Basetao: a slower haul needs more days

Most reasons to leave KakoBuy are about a single row. This one is about timing. If one seller takes weeks, the whole parcel waits, and KakoBuy's free window ends at day 100. Basetao's 120 days gives a longer cushion.

• Suits: a multi-seller haul where the last item is slow.
• Suits: buyers who want extra QC photos without a per-photo charge.
• Does not suit: anyone who needs a deep review record; five Trustpilot reviews is little to go on.

The storage gap, in days and yuan

KakoBuy's help centre gives 100 free days, an email at day 90, then a 30-day cooling-off period with ¥10 per order per 30 days; read the KakoBuy storage rules for detail. Basetao's pages give 120 days. We found no extension price in our notes, so we cannot cost the days after that.

We could not verify when Basetao started, so we give no founding year. Do not treat 180 days as its storage period; that figure appears only in third-party lists.

Moving the row: the Weidian pattern

For a Weidian row, our converter notes record basetao.com/best-taobao-agent-service/products/agent/weidian/<id>.html, where the item number sits where <id> is. Pull that number out of the KakoBuy link with the link converter. We recorded no Taobao or 1688 pattern, so paste those original addresses into Basetao's search box.

After opening the link, check that the title and the CNY price match the KakoBuy page. A mismatch usually means you have a different listing.

The Weidian pattern is known; the other marketplaces need the search box.

Thin reviews, so pay per order

Five reviews cannot show how Basetao handles a dispute or a lost parcel. KakoBuy has its own record, including a brief mid-August 2026 outage; rep.tools (which earns a KakoBuy affiliate commission) found no evidence for later raid claims; our KakoBuy legitimacy page sets it out. For Basetao, pay for one order at a time, keep the order number beside the original row, and ship before the free period ends.

How many days does Basetao store items?

120 days, according to its Storage policy, its FAQ and its About page, all read on 6 October 2026. Some third-party lists say 180, but we did not find that on Basetao's own site, so we do not use it. KakoBuy gives 100 days, which makes Basetao 20 days longer for a haul waiting on a late seller.

Does Basetao charge a service fee?

Its own site gave no percentage fee when we read it on 6 October 2026. An earlier check, on 5 October, recorded a range of 0 to 5% from the same site, so the pages are not fully consistent. KakoBuy's help centre charges no handling fee beyond item cost and shipping. Check the line items in your Basetao cart before paying.

Is Basetao's Trustpilot score reliable?

Treat it as thin. On 5 October 2026 Basetao showed 4.1 from just 5 reviews, so one disappointed customer would move it sharply. KakoBuy showed 4.2 from 321 reviews on 12 October. The comparison says little about quality either way, and the safer response is a small first order paid for on its own.

What does a Basetao product link look like?

For Weidian our notes record basetao.com/best-taobao-agent-service/products/agent/weidian/.html, with the Weidian item number in place of . That pattern came from a converter tool on 5 October 2026 rather than Basetao's help pages. For Taobao or 1688 rows, paste the original address into its search box and check the shop name and price against the KakoBuy page.

Does Basetao give more free QC photos than KakoBuy?

Its site says extra QC photos are free, though it also lists only a few photos as included at no cost. KakoBuy does not publish its free photo count and charges ¥2 per extra personalised photo. If photos matter to you, ask Basetao how many are included before you pay for the order.
