When KakoBuy actually buys, answers and ships: office hours converted to New York, London, Berlin, Madrid and Toronto time

Checked and updated .

Short answer: KakoBuy buys items between 09:00 and 18:00 UTC+8, which is 21:00 to 06:00 in New York and 03:00 to 12:00 in Berlin in mid-October 2026. Customer service answers from 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time. Taobao-type platforms are bought Monday to Sunday, other platforms Monday to Friday, and carriers do not collect parcels on weekends or public holidays, so a Friday-night payment can wait until Monday.

The three clocks KakoBuy runs on

KakoBuy works to Beijing time (UTC+8) and publishes three separate schedules. Buying: the item page says that after payment it purchases between 09:00 and 18:00 (UTC+8). Customer service: 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time, per the help article on the warehouse address. Carriers: parcel pickup within 2 working days of submission, and none on weekends or public holidays.

Most delays that buyers blame on KakoBuy are one of these clocks, not a fault. An order paid at 14:00 in New York is 02:00 the next day in Beijing, so nothing happens until the morning there. The warehouse itself sits in Xiamen, which is on the same time as Beijing.

Buying 09:00-18:00, support 8:00-20:00, pickups on working days only, all in Beijing time.

Which days count: priority hours by platform

Help article 115 describes the optional priority purchase service, which costs ¥5 per order and promises processing within 4 hours of the buyer's working time. Its hours table is the clearest published day-of-week rule:

Buyer service hours by platform, KakoBuy help article 115 (read 12 October 2026)
Platform groupDaysHours (UTC+8)
Taobao, Tmall, Jingdong and similarMonday to Sunday9:00-18:00
Weidian, Yupoo, Xianyu and similarMonday to Sunday9:00-18:00
Other third-party platformsMonday to Friday9:00-18:00

Article 115 applies to the priority service. KakoBuy does not publish a separate weekend rule for ordinary purchases, so treat the same table as a guide, not a promise. If your item is on a platform outside the first two rows, expect a Friday-night payment to wait for Monday. The first-order walkthrough shows where buying sits among the eight steps.

Taobao-type and Weidian-type platforms run seven days; other platforms run Monday to Friday.

Time-zone table: Beijing 09:00-18:00 in your city

China does not use daylight saving, so the table moves, not KakoBuy. Three dates are shown: 14 October 2026, when the US and Europe are both on daylight time; 28 October 2026, after Europe has switched back but before the US has; and 13 January 2027, when everyone is on standard time. Each cell is the purchasing window, 09:00 to 18:00 in Beijing. All values were computed with Python's zoneinfo.

Berlin, Madrid03:00-12:00 CEST02:00-11:00 CET02:00-11:00 CET

Each cell shows the window starting on the evening or early morning on the left and ending the next morning. Customer service, 8:00 to 20:00 in Beijing, runs from 20:00 to 08:00 in New York and 02:00 to 14:00 in Berlin in mid-October. A note on Vancouver: the time-zone database on our machine lists British Columbia as moving to a fixed UTC-7 from 1 November 2026, so the January cell is labelled by offset; check your local rules.

For Europeans the window is the night and morning; for North Americans it is evening to early morning.

A weekend example

Suppose you pay for a hypothetical item at 23:00 in Berlin on Friday 16 October 2026. That is 05:00 on Saturday 17 October in Beijing. If the item is on a Taobao-type platform covered by the seven-day rule, buying starts at 09:00 Beijing time on Saturday, which is 03:00 in Berlin. If it is on a Monday-to-Friday platform, buying waits until 09:00 on Monday 19 October in Beijing, which is 03:00 Monday in Berlin and 21:00 Sunday in New York. The wait is about 52 hours instead of 4.

The same logic applies to parcels. KakoBuy states it will ship within 24 hours of a parcel submission, but the carrier pickup can take 2 working days and does not happen on weekends or public holidays. A parcel submitted late on a Friday in Spain can reasonably start moving on Tuesday. Our shipping page lists transit days once the carrier has it.

Submit parcels early in the week and count pickup from the next working day.

Chinese New Year and other closures

KakoBuy has published holiday notices for Chinese New Year each year we could read. The dated facts:

  • 2025 (notice of 21 January 2025): warehouse closed 27 January to 1 February; support and purchasing 28 January to 1 February; most international carriers gradually suspended from 24 January, and KakoBuy advised shipping by 23 January. Purchasing resumed on 2 February.
  • 2026 (notice of 13 February 2026): holiday 15 to 21 February Beijing time; support on duty but slower 15 to 19 February; carriers gradually suspended from 14 February; full operations from 22 February, confirmed by a resumption notice on 22 February.
  • 2027: no notice on 12 October 2026. The earlier notices came 6 days and 2 days ahead, so expect a short warning.

Another 2023 post titled "Spring Festival Holiday Announcement" carries no dates. KakoBuy says that during the holiday it is still available and that pending tasks are processed in order afterwards. Plan for the carrier pause, not the website pause: ship before the carriers stop, and do not leave a time-sensitive order in storage. Storage itself keeps running, 100 days in total, so see the storage page for the clock.

Expect a closure of about a week around Chinese New Year and ship before the carriers stop.

Reaching support at the right hour

Support works from 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time through the live chat on kakobuy.com, with email and a message form for off-hours. Use the chat for order and parcel problems, and write one complete message: the order number, the status shown, and what you want done. If you want a person to check an unusual row before you pay, scan the WhatsApp QR on the contact page and pay per order.

If the site itself is slow or the chat is silent in office hours, check our outage log before assuming the problem is your order. For delays that are not about hours, insurance is the formal remedy.

Write once, completely, inside 8:00-20:00 Beijing time, and keep the order number in the message.

Questions buyers ask

What are KakoBuy's working hours in US time?

In mid-October 2026, purchasing at 09:00 to 18:00 Beijing time is 21:00 to 06:00 Eastern daylight time, and support at 8:00 to 20:00 is 20:00 to 08:00. After the US clocks change on 1 November the gap widens by an hour, so purchasing becomes 20:00 to 05:00 Eastern. Orders placed during US daytime wait for China's next morning.

Does KakoBuy buy items on weekends?

For priority purchases, yes on some platforms. KakoBuy's help article 115 lists Taobao, Tmall, Jingdong, Weidian, Yupoo and Xianyu as Monday to Sunday, 9:00 to 18:00, while other third-party platforms run Monday to Friday. Ordinary orders follow the item page's 09:00 to 18:00 line, and the weekend rule for them is not published separately.

Why has my KakoBuy parcel not been collected after I submitted it?

KakoBuy says it ships within 24 hours of a parcel submission, but the carrier collects within 2 working days, and carriers do not work on weekends or public holidays. A parcel submitted on a Friday evening can therefore leave the warehouse area on Monday or Tuesday. Counting from the next working day is the safer habit.

When is KakoBuy closed for Chinese New Year?

In 2026 KakoBuy's notice of 13 February gave a holiday of 15 to 21 February Beijing time, with support on duty but slower from 15 to 19 February and full operations from 22 February. In 2025 purchasing paused from 28 January to 1 February. We found no 2027 notice on 12 October 2026, so watch the announcements page from January.

Can I speak to KakoBuy support outside 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time?

KakoBuy lists 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time as customer service hours and also offers an email address and a message form, so you can leave a message at any hour. A reply usually comes inside those hours. For a 06:00 problem in New York, write the full order number and request in one message.

Do the working hours change when daylight saving time starts?

China does not change its clocks, so KakoBuy's hours stay fixed at UTC+8 while yours move. London shifts on 25 October 2026 and New York on 1 November, so the gap between Beijing and the US changes by an hour at each switch, and for a week between them the UK and US shifts differ.
