Is KakoBuy down for everyone?
No, not as of 12 October 2026: kakobuy.com loaded normally, and the homepage showed a Halloween event announced on 9 October. That does not rule out a fault on your side or one that starts after we looked, so test it yourself in three steps. Open the site in a second browser, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and try the app if you used the web or the web if you used the app.
If the page opens in one place and not another, the problem is local. If it fails everywhere during office hours, read the log below, then write to support. KakoBuy lists customer service hours of 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time, and the working hours page converts them to your clock.
Test two browsers and two networks before deciding that KakoBuy itself is down.

The pattern is modest: delays, two feature faults and one image-handling incident, each followed by a notice. The 2023 letter is the only one that set out compensation for late parcels, and our insurance page shows how that compares with today's terms. KakoBuy attached a coupon pack to some notices; we do not print codes, and official ones appear on its announcements page.

The August 2026 raid and shutdown claims
After the downtime, some TikTok videos said KakoBuy had been raided or was shutting down. rep.tools reported that no evidence supported the claims and that its daily QC and tracking integrations ran normally. KakoBuy's later announcements, on 7 September and 9 October 2026, describe events and shipping offers, which is not what a shut agent posts.
That is circumstantial. We do not know the cause of the August downtime. Compare it with real closures: PandaBuy was raided in April 2024 and never returned, and CNFans and AllChinaBuy now show maintenance notices that cite attacks. Those pages exist, KakoBuy's equivalent does not. Our legitimacy check covers the three company names behind the site.
The raid claims are unsupported; the downtime itself is real but unexplained.

Two cautions. Never share a password or an email code with anyone claiming to be support, in a chat or a DM. And do not pay a second time for the same order until the first attempt shows a clear status in your account.
Fix the local cause first, check the PayPal address, and never pay twice blind.
If you have items in storage during an outage
KakoBuy stores purchased goods for 100 days from the "in storage" status and sends a reminder after 90 days. An outage does not pause your exposure to a later problem, so do three things. Take screenshots of order pages and warehouse photos. Note the stocked-in date. Then decide whether to submit a parcel now or wait.
If the site is partly down, you may not be able to submit a parcel, and the 100-day clock keeps running. Write to support with the order numbers while chat is open. The storage page explains the cooling-off period and the ¥10 extension.

Backup agents when a row will not go through
If KakoBuy is failing for you but the seller's listing is live, the same row can usually be bought elsewhere. Open the original Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link, use our link converter to recover it from a KakoBuy URL, and paste it into another agent. The agents hub labels every agent Open, Hold, Moved or Closed, checked 12 October 2026. Only agents labelled Open are worth trying.

Questions buyers ask
What does "err network" mean on KakoBuy?
It is a browser or app message that a request never reached the server or came back broken, so it usually points to your connection, a changed network setting, a blocker extension or a very short interruption. Reload, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and try the other of app and web. If it persists across devices at office hours, write to support.
What is error 451 and does it mean KakoBuy is shut?
451 is the HTTP status code "Unavailable For Legal Reasons", used when content is withheld in some places for legal reasons. It does not mean KakoBuy is closed; the site loaded normally on 12 October 2026. We cannot tell why a given network sees it, and we do not suggest ways around legal blocks. Ask support and consider whether another agent is available where you live.
Why am I not getting the KakoBuy verification code?
Check the spam folder, confirm the address you typed matches the one used to register, and wait a few minutes before requesting another. KakoBuy's help pages say password resets send a code to the registration email. If nothing arrives after two requests, contact support during 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time with the email address, not the password.
Why did my PayPal or card payment fail on KakoBuy?
The most documented cause is an address mismatch: KakoBuy's help article 66 says the PayPal shipping address must match your KakoBuy recipient address. Change it in PayPal before retrying. KakoBuy's pages also contradict each other on the PayPal fee, 3.5% or 2.9% plus US$0.30, so check the total shown at checkout. Alipay and WeChat carry no handling fee.
Were the August 2026 raid rumours true?
We found nothing supporting them. rep.tools, whose agent board earns a KakoBuy affiliate commission, described brief website downtime in mid-August 2026 and said TikTok videos then claimed a raid or shutdown, with no evidence behind them. KakoBuy published no outage notice that we could find. Its 7 September and 9 October 2026 announcements show business as usual.
Are my items safe in storage if KakoBuy goes down?
KakoBuy's help centre counts 100 days of free storage from stocking in, and nothing we read says an outage pauses that count. Keep screenshots of your order pages and warehouse photos now. We cannot promise what would happen in a permanent closure, so avoid leaving finished purchases stored for months: submit parcels when you are ready and pay per order.
